Q: Can you tell me what surprised you about Leonardo, and what was it like working with Michelle Williams.
MM: Uh, you know I wasn't on the set as much as Brad but I can tell you a little bit about my reaction to the film as I saw it. I'm, as you-some of you may know, I'm Marlon Brando's trustee and executor of his will, and I saw, as I saw the film, I saw Mar... more of Marlon's influence on American actors and I just thought that was one great performance. You know I just-I was just floored by the performance the first time I saw it. So you know, as a matter of fact I told Leo, you know, that just watching the performance reminded me a lot of the young Marlon. Uh, as far as Michelle (clears throat), you know, there's something really interesting about someone who looks as wounded as she does. I thought, you know, I know that she was nervous uh, about her performance, but after I saw the film and I called her up and I said you know, you're just fantastic in this film. So I would say that both of them-and obviously uh, my cohorts can tell you a lot more because they were, they were involved, you know, more closely to it.

BF: Just watching Marty work with actors generally is kind of an amazing thing to behold. Just seeing the way the scene evolves, and the way the performances move in different directions to different levels. You know Michelle and Leo in particular were wonderful I think. Mike's point about Michelle is correct, and the role that she plays, as you know, you know, kind of lent itself-she was a very wounded character.

ps : la vidéo est un clip de Shutter Island diffusé lors des Golden Globes,de nouvelles trés belle images de michelle.

“Michelle rooted the entire film emotionally with a really engaging, intense performance that goes to the heart of who this couple is.” Leonardo Dicaprio

“Michelle rooted the entire film emotionally with a really engaging, intense performance that goes to the heart of who this couple is.” Leonardo Dicaprio

“Leo is at the Hamlet stage of his life and this role gives him a tremendous opportunity to show his depth. Mark Ruffalo just radiates affection and loyalty; Michelle Williams has a stirring, beautiful vulnerability; Emily Mortimer is exquisite, like a bird beating its wings against a window; Patricia Clarkson has such stillness and intelligence and Max von Sydow, with his towering authority, is magnificent,” Ben Kingsley

Taking on the key role of Teddy's wife Dolores is Academy Award® nominee Michelle Williams (Brokeback Mountain). Williams did not hesitate to jump into the unusual character. “It's a really challenging role, which always appeals to me,” she says. She admits the part got under her skin more than she anticipated. “Playing Dolores was a lot to go through,” she continues. “It's like being in a nightmare you can't wake up from and it keeps changing and getting darker and darker as you go with the current.”

To get deeper into the psychology and truth behind Dolores, Williams did a lot of reading on abnormal psychiatry, watched documentaries and talked to several doctors. “I also talked a lot to Marty,” she explains, “because one of the most important things is to build that trust in order to go to these places together.”

The period also intrigued Williams. “It was a time in the 1950s when people felt they didn't know what was going to come next. Dolores was caught up in paranoia about war, about being spied on, about not being safe,” she notes. “I had to find compassion for what she was going through.”

On camera, what Williams went through was often a drenching affair, flooded with dream-induced deluges. “I spent the two months making this move soaking wet,” she laughs. “There were even water rigs in my hair and dress! But it's all part of Marty's storytelling, and it was so exciting to be part of that.”
Says DiCaprio of Williams: Michelle rooted the entire film emotionally with a really engaging, intense performance that goes to the heart of who this couple is.

BLUE VALENTINE ACHETER PAR The Weinstein Company

BLUE VALENTINE ACHETER PAR The Weinstein Company
si c'est pas une bonne nouvelle ca,BLUE VALENTINE a déja était acheter par The Weinstein Company, michelle connais bien Harvey Weinstein puisque c'était sa compagnie qui produisait le film "I'm Not There",c'est donc une trés bonne nouvelle, voici l'article :

While some may have thought The Weinstein Company was down for the count, Harvey Weinstein has finally pulled the trigger at Sundance as his company purchased director Derek Cianfrance's relationship drama Blue Valentine - which stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams - for just over $1 million. Also, according to Variety, TWC is close to landing the documentary The Tillman Story, which is about former NFL player Pat Tillman and the cover up by our government after he died.

As Cindy, Michelle Williams is stunning. She's a real woman. A beautiful woman. And she's able to completely transform into a distraught, resentful, shell of her former self. As Dean, Ryan Gosling is a powerhouse. Handsome and exciting, romantic and hopeful begets tired and worn, grasping at the unraveling tendrils of his marriage.
